Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation:
Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (ScII) is the newest faculty under Chulalongkorn University. Using a ‘Speedboat’ model, it is designed to have greater agility to respond to the rapidly changing behaviors and the pace of emerging technologies. The school had launched a degree program with a transdisciplinary approach focused on 21st century skills, core business and technology, and four branches of specialization (such as AI, machine learning, robotics smart mobility) aimed at building entrepreneurial mindset in our students.
Despite being established only 3 years ago, we already have a solid partnership network with leading industries, such as Banpu, PTTEP, Singha, aCommerce, Siam Piwat, CloudBae/Alibaba, Bitkub (the first Thai unicorn), BOL, TUS Park, and WHA. This is in line with the recent achievement of Chulalongkorn University, which has been recognized as #1 University in Asia by Times Higher Education Impact Ranking, the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, such as SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure). Some of our School’s success use cases with our partners include coursework projects with Singha and Banpu in the Entrepreneurship and Core Business area of our curriculum, a consulting-oriented project for the optimization of the supply chain of one of our partners, and fully or partially funded scholarships to attract talented international innovators to Thailand. Further, aCommerce, TUS Park and WHA are offering internship positions and providing offices for our students to work on their start-up projects.
Our School is an official global partner (the first ever in Thailand) of Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (SCET) under the College of Engineering, UC Berkeley, and with the National University of Singapore (NUS) Overseas College (NOC). Besides, SCET and ScII are both founding members of the League of Global Entrepreneurship Programs, together with MIT Legatum, Stanford University, Harvard University and several others higher education entrepreneurial institutions, which are joining hands to foster thought leadership, research opportunities, and entrepreneurship ecosystem capacity building.
